Trending Now: Landon Donovan to retire from professional soccer

Adrian Wojnarowski: The Timberwolves have agreed to trade forward Kevin Love to the Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and a 2015 1st round pick.  Love has agreed to opt out of his current contract in 2015 and will sign a 5 year deal with the Cavs worth $120 million. The deal can’t be finalized until August 23.

 

Former #1 overall pick Greg Oden was arrested for misdemeanor battery in Indianapolis after allegedly punching his ex-girlfriend in the face early this morning.

 

The NCAA Board of Directors passed legislation to allow the five biggest conferences to create some of their own rules.  The plan is expected to allow the 65 schools to offer their athletes a stipend that goes above what are allowed in current scholarships.

 

In Progress: At the PGA Championship, Tiger Woods shot a 1st round, 74, and is at 3-over par, 9 shots back of the lead.  Lee Westwood and Kevin Chappell have the clubhouse lead at -6.  Phil Mickelson is 4 shots back after a round of 2-under par, 69.
